Psalm 107:17-22 (NASB 1995)
Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
Their soul abhorred all kinds of food, And they drew near to the gates of death.
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses.
He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!
Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, And tell of His works with joyful singing.
Every blessing of God comes from His love, but each one also comes to you when you ask for it.
God loves you, He wants to bless you, no matter what your weaknesses, sins, or failures, but you have to ask to enjoy His blessings.
When you are in trouble because you really messed up, and you then cry out to the Lord, you’ll ALWAYS get His response and His mercy. That’s the promise--He sends HIs word, heals you, and delivers you from your destructions. Because of the way life sometimes is, we may have to live with things that result from our poor decisions, but He always restores and heals much more than we could ever hope.
"Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
"You have not because you do not ASK."
So ask Him. He will respond. Always.
