I am still working.
One of My servants wrote, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful..." When My Dear Son was murdered,
all My servants knew He was dead. They watched Him die a horrible death; they saw Him stuck like a pig before He was taken from the Cross. They saw Him "bleed out." They saw Him taken down from the Cross, dead. They saw Him wrapped in spices and cloth, like a mummy, and laid in a tomb. He was DEAD.
All hope was gone, and they assumed that they had been wrong, and that the things they believed about Him were false.
This is what My servants do when they cannot see the future. They fail. They can't believe. They lose their expectations of good. They think I have stopped working, and they give up.
This is just what it was like on that awful day, that Sabbath (Saturday), when My Dear Son was in the grave, and they
knew He was gone, and it was over, and all their hopes and dreams had disappeared. The horribleness of everything hung over them like a fog, and they were in a state of despair.
You've been there. Maybe you
are there. Everything you planned for, hoped for, dreamed, is gone, and you are shattered, destroyed, ruined, and you
have no hope. You ache. You remember. You cry. It doesn't help.
It was just like that on the Sabbath morning My servants awoke, and the Crucifixion had happened, and My Dear Son was dead, and they knew it. He wasn't coming back, and everything they believed about Him had been wrong. That's what they thought.
I was still working. I had not stopped, even when they stopped believing.
I am still working today, even if you have stopped believing, even if you have no expectations of any kind, even if your days are lived in the valley of the shadow of death, and you have no idea that I am with you. When My servants had completely given up, I was only beginning to work. My Dear Son was in the grave on Saturday, but Sunday....
Sunday was coming, and He would awaken from death forever, "the firstfruits of those who slept [in death];" He is the one who will yet "Swallow up death in victory," and who will see to it that every tear is wiped from every eye of all who love Me and serve Me, and who will bring them into the same life that He enjoys, the life that knows no death, that is indestructible, that overpowers even the thought of dying.
It is
not over with you, either, even if you despair like those Servants of Mine who buried My Dear Son, even if you have no hope or faith
at all.
I am working. You can't see it, you can't feel it, you don't believe it. You don't have to believe for me to keep working. I have not stopped, even when you have given up completely.
Every single one of My servants have found this to be true, and you will, as well.
It's Saturday. Tomorrow is Sunday. My Dear Son rose from the dead, as He said He would. He lives now by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed. He rose from the dead because death could not hold Him.
If it's your "Saturday," and you think I have abandoned you, I have not.
Never give up. I am with you, and I am working.
